Our Suppliers

We work with suppliers who value quality and sustainability as much as we do, and we source local, British-grown produce whenever possible.

Neal’s Yard Dairy

The rising demand for cheaper products, unchallenging favours and uniformity is putting the cheese industry at risk. But Neal’s Yard is facing up to the challenge, determined to produce exceptional farmhouse cheese and milk while ensuring the sustainability of British cheesemaking. This includes training and giving back to the community, organising UK cheesemakers and working with legislators to protect the profession.

Fin + Flounder

Our local fishmonger in Hackney, East London. Sustainability is a huge concern in the fishing industry and Fin + Flounder are showing how environmental awareness and profit can coexist. They only source the best quality seafood from certified, managed stocks. They work with sustainable boats from Scotland to Cornwall, buying from independent fishermen who line catch their fish.

HG Walter

An independent family-run butcher, HG Walter has become one of London’s most respected butchers, supplying some of the best chefs and restaurants in the city. Their British meat ranks highly in provenance, welfare and flavour and their farmers prioritise sustainability as their livestock contribute to a biodiverse landscape, in contrast to the destructive nature of larger producers.

Modal Wines

Modal imports distinctive wines with the right mix of edge, character, balance and drinkability – at times surprising, but always thoroughly enjoyable. They created the Spirals project which is a series of collaborative cuvées made with different growers each year. The project is also a means of giving back, with 100% of the profits going to various organisations to push the ideals of sustainability, respectful farming, and social change.

Hodmedod’s

Hodmedod’s works with British farms to source delicious British pulses and grains, especially indigenous pulses. They actively seek out less well-known foods like the fava bean which has been growing in Britain since the Iron Age and the almost forgotten black badger peas. They have won multiple awards, including the Best Food Producer in the BBC Food & Farming Awards.

Indigo Wine

Importers of artisanal wines from across the globe, Indigo supplies the UK’s best restaurants and independent retailers. They work hard to partner with talented growers who are passionate about making unique wines. Their speciality is fresh and balanced vino from Spain, often from producers in lesser-known regions who work with organically grown indigenous grapes.

Belazu

Supplying our oils, vinegar and spices, Belazu is a B-corp (like us) who focuses both on quality and ensuring they buy ethnically and look after the wellbeing of their workers. The company also created the Belazu Foundation which directs 3% of their profits to support food and education projects for kids and young people in the UK and the Mediterranean.

La Sovrana

This characterful, family-run business sources wonderful Italian produce. They began their operations in 2018 and were one of the businesses that was hit hardest by the pandemic. However, the Picaro family’s has bounced back, and continues to deliver produce from their family farm in Battipaglia.
